NOTES >
One year after releasing "Haberdashery" on Baby Factory Records, Plastic Princess decided to independently release another CD, this time a full-length. Pressing was paid for by the band's friend and original singer (although they never performed a show with him), Allen M., who also wrote the lyrics for "Porno Engine" and "Zoomgirl." Drums were once again recorded in Amy's basement, and the rest of the tracking took place in Dickie’s studio (then called Five Walls). The entire "Plastactiongirlboy" cd was done on a Roland 16-track digital recorder, which was a pretty cool machine for its time.
This was Plastic Princess in its prime, with its most memorable lineup - Dickie, Amy, Pauly and Jimmy James. The band once again benefited from Hideki Owa's CD art direction and for the first time featured photography by longtime band photographer Mark Smalling. |
